I take my coffee seriously and I would have been remiss to have not made the trip to Tim Wendolbe coffee bar in Oslo, Norway. Tim Wendolbe is a micro roastery making some of the THE BEST coffee in the world.
Tim Wendolbe won the World Barista Championship in 2004 and has won the Nordic Roaster Championship on several occasions.
As it should be, each coffee is made to order.
Charlie ordered a cappuccino al fredo. O-M-G. His was beyond out of this world excellent
I ordered a sitio canaa. I wanted to enjoy the coffee for the coffee so I didn’t add any cream, milk or sugar. It had a nutty aroma with sweet undertones. It had a rich almost malty taste with a sweet finish. It was smooth and naturally creamy with low acidity. Very easy sipping and enjoyable to drink.
If in Olso, go off the beaten path, sit, relax and have what might be the best cup of coffee you might ever have at Tim Wendelboe.

I read somewhere that coffee in the states is not good at all. That it should be sweeter and less bitter. True story?

I think it depends on what coffee you are drinking. Since Starbucks arrived with the “burnt bean” we do tend to drink more bitter roasts than other countries.
