Crossing the finish line is a feeling like no other. Good race or bad race, you DID IT! Whether you trained hard or just trained enough there is still a great sense of accomplishment when you run across the finish line.
I’ve had a few set back with my running this year. First, I sprained my ankle, then, I fell on my arse HARD and now I seem to have tonsillitis. Seriously, I can’t catch a break. But that doesn’t stop me from updating my training plan and figuring out how I’m going to CRUSH PR Finish Strong use the Rock n’ Roll half as a training run for a fall half marathon.
One of the greatest way to get a training plan in motion is to sign up for a 5K. A 5K can get your mojo going. Most 5K benefit a good cause like Bud’s Run on June 22nd in Carol Stream.
Looking for a bigger challenge, what about the Spartan Race?

I will do it if you are! (and I win:).
I will do it if you are! (and I win:). oops – will be out of town. That and the fact that I have no fitness goals puts me out of competition!
Ugh! I would love a free entry except for the fact that getting muddy while running doesn’t sound like a good time to me. I hate all things “nature,” with mud at the top of the list. Plus I’m a clutz and can see my ankle turning.
Oh, I’m all over this shiznit! My goal for this summer is to remain active, increase my training and actually hit a 3 1/2 hour half marathon walking time.
Unlike Alb, I can SO get muddy while running – can’t imagine more fun!
Al can enter and give me the entry!
My fitness goal is to not quit running when the humidity is 97% and the temperature is 97 degrees at 8 a.m.
My fitness goals are to heal up from my plantar faciitis, get stronger with more strength training and finally do a pull up!
