About a month ago, the folks at Narin’s Oatcakes, a Scottish company that makes oat based cookies and crackers, contacted me to a product review of their oatcakes.
The sent me two different varieties to try the mixed berry and the stem ginger.
The cookies come in individual packages with 5 cookies per pack, helping with portion control and portability. The cookies are sweet multi-grain cracker with enough sugar to satiate your sweet tooth. They are whole grain, wheat, but not gluten, free. They are high in fiber and contain no hydrogenated fat, GM ingredients, artificial colorings, flavorings or preservatives. A serving biscuit serving is 2 cookies and 90 calories per serving.
My favorite was the mixed berries oat biscuits. It was full of dried cranberries and flavored with raspberry. They were just sweet enough. Charlie like the ginger. If you love ginger you will like these. They were a bit too strong for my palate. What can I say, he’s a spicy guy, I’m a fruity gal.
The cookies are about $4.00 a box on the Nairn’s website. I also found them on Amazon.
I’m not a huge online shopper, but if saw them in a store I would defiantly buy them.
