I’ve sent the past week cleaning my house, catching up on all areas neglected over the past year. I’ve also spent hours combating the dog hair issue we have. Love Addison, hate her shedding. After hours and hours and hours of vacuuming, sweeping and Swiftering I have it somewhat under control. I even took the time to clean the carpets, which had definitely accumulated their share of dirt and hair. Homeowners don’t realize the significant impact that carpet cleaning can have on their home’s appearance.
Tomorrow I start the Couch to 5K program. The process was exhausting, but seeing the transformation in my living space was rewarding. I started in the living room, where the couch had become a trap for every strand Addison shed. I vacuumed every corner, even those hard-to-reach spots behind the furniture. Then I moved on to the kitchen, where dog hair had somehow found its way into every nook and cranny. I scrubbed the floors, wiped down the counters, and even cleaned the blinds. The bedroom was next, and I couldn’t believe how much hair had accumulated on the carpet and the bedding. I spent what felt like an eternity vacuuming and sweeping, but finally, it looked almost presentable again. Despite the frustration, I’m glad I tackled this mess—it feels like a fresh start. Over the past year I have been good with Activity, fair with exercise and poor with running. So instead of killing myself, I’m starting back slow. Time to get moving!
