My dreams of running this years marathon were crushed like a tomato at a Del Monte factory yesterday. I have a pulled groin (abductor) and piriformis strain. NO running over 10 miles at any given time for 4 weeks. This mean no 18, 20 and 23 mile training run. And I’m not willing to try to run the marathon without ALL of those runs under my belt. Makes me sad.

wow. thats awful to hear, and sounds so painful! maybe its your body’s way of saying you need a break. more time to train for next year! hope you recover quickly!

Sorry you did not get to run the marathon, next time though.
I am trying to be good and working at getting back onto my eating plan … picked up the weight I lost before winter and now it’s all back so the skirts are a little snugger.
But the good weather is back so I need to work at getting my head and body to move in the same direction.

Thanks everyone. I’m still really bummed and contemplate signing up for the 20 miler since I should be healed but I know that its not realistic and I will just end up hurt.
Good news is I had a great 3 mile run the other day.
