fit into these pants. If I lose 10 pounds fit into this shirt. If I lose 15 pounds I’ll be able to zip the jacket.
If I lose 10 pounds are ….famous last words.
I have tons of clothes that I bought over the years on the promise that I’ll lose 5 lbs. One of the biggest lessons I have learned about shopping: clothes that don’t fit really don’t do you much good just hanging in your closet. Unless your buying something as a motivational piece, buying on the promise that you’ll take off 10 pounds is stupid. Buy clothes that you can wear because by the time you lose those 10 pounds the season will have likely passed or you might have packed on another 5 lbs and you’ll be saying, “If I lose 10 pounds I’ll squeeze my ass into those skinny jean. All I need is some Vaseline and a crowbar. I know I can do it!”
2005 I bought the pants I’m wearing today with the goal, to lose 5 pounds. Because if I lost 5 pounds they wouldn’t cling to my thighs. Well 15 lbs later, I could hardly get them zipped. I was doing some clothes shopping in the tub of …”if I lose X” and tried them on. To my surprise they fit.
This is one of my favorite sweater/shirts. Its all one piece and requires little thought. It is figure flattering (IMHO) because it’s not a square box. And, I love the double collar.
