I’m on week 5 of the couch to 5K program, the point in time where the rubber hits the road in the program, so to speak. Week 5 is the week where you can run for time or distance.
I chose distance. The whole point is to be able to run 3.1 miles, not to run for 30 minutes. So today I did my first distance run (I blew it off yesterday because I had such a horrible headache I went to bed at 8:30 pm last night…but I digress). I’m not going to say it was easy, but it was not awful either. I’m doing pace training with the training plan with the hopes that my pace isn’t in the snail territory, this makes the runs more challenging (read: burn more calories).
My foot has been pain free which rocks. (*knock on wood*) I don’t have any pain the morning either.
I’m off to Atlanta next week; I decided to fly out on Saturday to meet up with one of my favorite Weight Watcher Running Buddies, Allison @ You Run? No, really you run? and our other running pal Karen.
The last time I was in Atlanta they took me to this rockin’ BBQ place. Prepare your eyes for food porn…
I doubt we will be running, more like 16 oz curls and eating some BBQ. I’m looking forward to it. (oh and good thing my flex points rest on Saturdays).

I am soooo jealous of the WeWa meet-up. Have fun and don’t pull muscle on those curls.
I am glad your foot is feeling better.

I’m doing my 7 miler before you get here. If you need to do a run, we can go somewhere for it.
I so need to do some curls!!

I’m going to try to do a double workout tomorrow and my run on Friday so I don’t have to exercise on Saturday or Sunday.
*try* being the optimal word.
