I read a lot of fashion blogs and many of the bloggers are into Vintage shopping. A fancy word for Thrift Store Shopping AKA Thrifting.
In my 36 years I have bought 2 items at a thrift store, both were scarves. One was a Mario Brito designed Absolute Vodka scarf, the other a Stoli Nicole Miller Scarf. Both are collectors items and each were 99 cents. I had them immediately dry cleaned.
I have tired to like Vintage shopping but ….I’m just not that into it. Quite frankly it grosses me out. I can’t let myself wear a pair of used bowling shoes let alone buy clothing from a thrift store. For all I know the person that last wore it was a murderer or even worse murdered. I don’t need my clothes having any bad juju.
I am with ya! I can’t handle the smell in thrift store and that is the biggest turn off.
My girlfriend on the other hand rarely shops retail and always looks awesome! I just can’t do it.
I never find what I like in a size that fits. Size 6 people seem to make it work, though.
