I’ve never been so apathetic to ring in a new year as this year. It’s not that I’m not excited for a new year and a clean slate, I am, but 2017 I’m just not that in to you.
Just because I’m not riding into the new year with zeal, it doesn’t mean that I don’t have aspirations and I haven’t set goals. I have.
Looking into 2017…
I lost 30 pounds in 2016. Go me. I started in April and took 3 months off and struggled over the holidays. So, 30 pounds in 6 months. I’m going to keep the trend going in 2017 and get to my goal weight this year. Want to see what I eat every day, check out my Instagram. In December I fell off a ledge of a retaining wall (yes it hurt, no I was not badly injured) but I was sore for about 2 weeks and I did sprain my ankle. I still don’t have full range of motion of my ankle but it is much better. I’ve started back spinning and I’m trying to get 2-3 good cardio workouts in per week. My goal is to be able to start running in the spring. I’ll see where the winter takes my fitness.
Last year I was promoted at work (the job that pays the bills). I’m looking forward to digging my heals into my new role this year.
Finally, I hoping to continue to grow this blog this year. I’ll be dipping my toes into video, posting more great recipes and I have a few other surprises coming your way. So keep reading. Tell your friends. Let’s make 2017 Great!
