The holidays can be an extra stressful time of year for many people. I personally view the holiday season as a time to reflect. This past year I wanted to grow my business, A Well Fed Life, by teaching spin and reenergize this blog to grow its readership. While this blog is developing steadily, teaching spin fell to the wayside.
Using the holiday time over the past few weeks to reflect, I have decided in 2016 I want to continue down the path of my 2015 business plan. I am committed to both this blog and teaching spin. During my reflection I identified that I might needs some tools to support me in this continued journey. Two items surfaced to my short list:
- New cycling shoes. After 17 year my old shoes will be retried for a new pair.
- Mobile Device. I think I have hit a point where I need to treat A Well Fed Life as a business and a key business tool is a mobile device that I can use for voice calls and texting. I also need a reliable data service for both email and free data for streaming music.
Streaming Music? Yes, I have my playlist library for spinning built in Spotify. When I practice “routines” I load up a playlist and go. Being able to stream is critical so I don’t have to have the music downloaded to the device and can swap a song on the fly if the BPM (beat per minute) are not working for a segment of the workout.
Looking for a cost effective device and service plan to test my mobile needs, I was introduced to T-Mobile Simple Choice™ prepaid plan this past month. I have been using it for a week now and I’m positively satisfied.
Purchasing the phone and signing up for service was a breeze. I popped into Walmart, hit the electronics section and purchased a Galaxy Core Prime Phone with a $50 refill card and was out the door in less than fifteen minutes. Next step is to look for good phone plan deals.
Going with the Simple Choice prepaid plan was logical for me because it comes with Music Freedom. You can choose from over forty music services to stream you music, Spotify being one of them, and it will not effect your data. In other words, you can listen to music all day every day without a worry.
I created my Tracklist workout in Notes (basic, but totally works).
I load up my playlist and I was off!
Boom! I’m getting a jump start on my 2016 goals. I’ll be rocking this playlist all December long and working on my spin routines, how is that for #RockTheHolidayson?
