February was a fantastic month, albeit cold, cold, cold. I should actually rename the month “Fituary” becuase I got my fitness ON. I also lost a few pounds while still eating some great food and having fun. Here is a recap of My Well Fed Life in February.
I started swimming again. I’ve been hitting the pool once a week. I’m far from becoming Dara Torres but I’m swimming laps each week for 30 minutes, flip turns included.
I indulged in Stephanie Izzard Goat Pizza at Piece Pizza. I’m normally not a huge Piece fan, but this was really good. I think it was the pickled peppers. They added a great tang and nice spicy zip.
We finished our basement bathroom remodel. Hurray! One room done, finally.
I had a scrumptious dinner at Intro. I loved Top Chef alumn CJ Jacobson fresh take of seasonal midwest ingredients. I highly recommend checking out his menu before he is gone.
Like I said, this months should be called “Fituary.” I also went to spin and A LOT. 1 4 times in 28 days to be exact. GO ME!
I dog sat for this little furball (my sisters dog Chloe) who provided much entertainment for both me and Addison while she was here.
Charlie and I found ourselves at a wedding the suburbs. We had some time to kill between the ceremony and reception so we checked out Church Street Brewing Company.
I ended the month making these really really awesome pancakes. Charlie has been brewing beer and I’ve been coming up with ways to use the spent grains. Recipe coming soon!
Other than the really cold weather, February was great. A perfect mix of healthy exercise, good food and great fun.
