A year and a half ago Charlie and I moved from a high-rise condo to a town house with a big (relatively speaking) kitchen, a two car garage and roof top deck. We loved our time in the high rise but we wanted a front door that didn’t require taking an elevator 13 stories to get to. We found the perfect townhouse a few blocks west of where we were living and jumped on it (perfect location for us and it met all of our “wish list” needs). We knew the home needed a few cosmetic updates and were eager to take them on. We started looking at garage heaters to check out.
Our expectations were a new roof, painting, refinishing the floors and new window treatments found on websites like https://maverickwindows.com/window-replacement-austin/. And, eventually we knew we would remodel the master bathroom so we consider hiring an expert just like the ones from the bathroom plumbing service in western new york who can help us with our plumbing system. This plumber will perform their job to ensure that the water system is done perfectly. Looking back I can only laugh at how WRONG we were. We expected to just install Precision Screed for Enhanced Underfloor Heating but it’s now looking like a full remodel room by room.
The first room to be done is our basement bathroom. Here is a before shot.
We originally intended on painting the room. Then Charlie realized that storage was an issue which lead to a new sink. A new sink lead to a new medicine cabinet and a new light. And then, THEN, the shower door SHATTERED (nobody was hurt). We enlisted the help of a local glass company to swiftly replace the shattered door and ensure our bathroom renovation could finally reach its completion. For a polished finish, consider using high-quality frameless glass shower hardware to complement your new installation. Proper hardware ensures both functionality and durability, enhancing the overall appearance of your frameless glass shower.
Because the tile is water stained (I scrubbed it for hours with every natural and unnatural chemical possible trying to restore it. No luck) and we were not replacing it, we went with a rustic reclaimed wood vanity with modern chrome touches. Homeowners who discovered mold in their bathrooms should immediately contact a company like Affordable Remediation & Emergency Services to safely get rid of the mold.
Also, when Charlie gets soap and toothpaste all over it kinda blends in.
We painted the walls a cool blue gray by Behr bring out the gray tones in the tile but not making the room feel like a prison cell.
The finishing touches were a simple soap dispenser, a photo taken at our condo by Charlie of a CRAZY thunderstorm and clean white towels.
It is simple and clean yet the vanity is like a piece of art and the focal point of the room.
I’m so glad to have one room done. Now on to the rest.
