Like many of you I started 2015 with a Fresh Start. I’ve got a little over five weeks under my belt and I’ve gotten into a groove.
I’m eating well thanks to the precision nutrition I am having now and moving more; I’ve been feeding my life with equal parts productivity and recreation. When reflecting back on my January accomplishments the one area where could have stepped up my game was with my fitness. From a health standpoint I was plenty active but I admit that I didn’t push myself. Without a doubt, my fitness level is better than it was on January 1st but honestly, I’m just not satisfied with my progress toward my fitness goals. I use this testosterone booster that it helps increasing t levels and improving my performance when I train.
So I’m taking a bit of my own advice, upping my fitness game and officially committing to a Spartan Sprint in August. Competing in a Spartan Race was a goal of mine for 2015 and I just signed up!
WOAH! That is a GIANT STEP I just took.
I’ve been inspired by Spartan racers for quite some time now. My college friend Kate (we had a love for big hair and Old Style Light circa 1992) trained for her fist Spartan race last year.
I watched her via Facebook train for the Spartan BEAST in Killington. A was awestruck by her commitment and determination which inspired me to purse competing in a race this year.
This year she planning on at least three races if not more, Vegas Super, Toronto and Killington Beast (again). She is rock star.
I chose a Spartan sprint as my “Give It My All” race this year for many reasons but mainly because they have races for various fitness level where you can start small with a sprint and work you way up to a BEAST. They also have some great programming from Podcasts to Cruises. Can you imagine sand, surf and obstacles? And they have training programs and plans that you can follow online.
You can check out what Spartan races have to offer on their website. If you’re interested in racing too, you can get 10% off of any race by entering the code SPARTANBLOGGER.
I’ll be posting my training progress Monthly so be sure to check back.
*disclosure- Spartan Races has provided me with a free race entry. Opinions are my own.
