You might have noticed that for the past three months I really haven’t lost much weight. Well folks I took a little break from trying to lose weight. I was just tired of the day in day out, counting and self deprivation that comes with losing weight. When you start getting into the 24 and less point range its no longer a matter of cutting back. Its a matter of making choices, this for that. Ice cream or and extra serving of brown rice, two beer and a dog at a football game or actual food all day. I know you get flex points, but they don’t go as far as you would think. So I took a little break. I haven’t been to a Weight Watchers meeting in 3 month but I have been tracking my points (not so much on the healthy guidelines thing though). I even set e-tools to maintain.
Today I realized that my little hiatus is up. It’s time to hop back on that weightloss wagon. I reset my etools back to lose weight. I only had a two beers at the Bears Game. I really wanted Nacho but I ate a sensible sandwich instead. I looked up a new meeting (5:30 pm on Thursday). Its time to get back to losing. Bikini season is not that far away.
I also got my results back from my wellness exam today.
I’m annoyed with my Cholesterol. It was up to 160 and my HDL was down to 52. Also my BP was up (I think it’s because they took it right after they drew blood..that eeks me out) . Last time I had it checked in May (May 19th to be exact) it was 108/68. Except for my weight (which was taken fully clothed with work clothes on..yes I’m justifying the 193.2 reading) and my BMI and Waist Circumference, all my results are within the normal range. I really like this color combination….
In regards to the “food intake control” aka diet.
I totally understand its a journey that seems like it will never end. But, it will 🙂
5 years ago I was able to put off almost 18 pounds.
It took a lot of effort and now, 5 years later I have gained every single one of them back.
I began last monday and have been REALLY making an effort to eat light and healthy. But there is just so much temptation out there. I could live on cookies, ice cream and Ritter chocolate bars.
We need to have breaks or we would go insane, I take a break on Sundays…
I am sure you will get on that wagon !

When you wore this skirt and belt combo in April it was my favorite outfit of the month. I still love it just as much with orange.
The good news is that you have not gained any weight back this summer:) I think taking a break is a good thing.

I’m a new reader of your blog, I’ve only been reading it for a few weeks. I’m also doing WW (again) and although it’s going well, it’s slow and hard work. You HAVE to point everything, and yes, sometimes you have to choose between a drink or food – I’m finding that quite hard. And it’s my birthday on Friday so I know I’m going to struggle sticking to my points. AND I’m going to a wedding Sunday too! I’m just going to have to try and be as good as possible, and then get back onto my 20pts a day next week…

Congrats on your good checkup results! And also, I think it’s good that you took a break. It’s probably what was best for you long term. I think you look great. I love this outfit too, what a great fall color!

Thanks all. Trying to lose weight becomes exhausting sometimes. Its not the physical process that is draining but the mental part.
counting and measuring is something I will do for the rest of my life. I can’t not do it. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach.
