One of the greatest lessons my mother ever taught me was how to get ready in less than 15 minutes INCLUDING a shower. It is truly a unique skill that I possess.
My 15 minute fire drill out the door routine goes something like this…
5 minutes- shower (face scrub then face wash, shampoo, put on conditioner..wash body, rinse top to bottom..do not linger, do not enjoy the hot water)
3 minutes- brush teeth, feed dog while brushing. The sonic care does all the work, right hand for feeding, left hand for brushing
2 minutes -get dressed. This is not the time to be creative. Put on clothes and walk away from the closet.
3 minutes- makeup and hair. Apply foundation/tinted moisturizer. Blow dry front section of hair (it takes a good 20-30 to get my hair dry so there is no time for blow-out) and let foundation set. Apply rest of makeup (keep it simple, blush, powder, mascara and lipstick). Put hair in ponytail.
2 minutes- grab coffee, pack lunch, pack bag, grab phone, shut off bathroom lights and bedroom lights, open shades, say good bye to dog and loved ones and head out the door.
15 MINUTES..DONE..READY and OUT THE DOOR!
If your limited to 10 minutes skip the shower or the makeup and hair. Grab a hat or pull back hair into a ponytail.
The key is not to diddle around. This is not the time to try on 10 t-shirts in various shades. You need to put on your clothes and GO.
Oh and, yes I overslept and was running late today.

I can do this, only my hair is thin so I don’t have to worry about blow drying my hair. Makes life much easier some days.

Wow, I am impressed! I’m such a linger-er in the morning; I don’t know if I could make it out the door in 15 minutes! I suppose if I had to though, maybe I could.

I used to be able to get done and out the door in 15 minutes – that was before motherhood … lol.
Love love love your shoes … I’m totally drooling over here.
