In addition to quenching your thirst, drinking 8-10 8oz glasses of water each day has many health benefits. From reducing heart attack to boosting energy, keeping hydrated has many advantages.
My favorite benefit of keeping well hydrated with water is that it helps with weight loss. Thinking we are hungry, often we eat when we are thirsty. By keeping hydrated, you can help reign in your hunger and lose weight.
Plain ole’ water can, however, get a bit boring. While flavor packet, like crystal light are very tasty, they can also be expensive. A great way to spice up you water is to add citrus, spices and herbs. One of my favorite combinations is orange, lemon and ginger.
The orange add sweetness, the lemon adds tang and the ginger adds a spicy zip.
