Slow, low and let them go. This is my version of easy and tasty cooking. These ribs make a hearty winter meal paired with a whole grain or a great a summer meal paired with a light salad.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. short ribs (4 ribs)
1 Onion (Chopped)
1 Tbs fresh parsley
1 ½ Cups Whiskey
1 Cup Apple Juice
¼ Cup BBQ Sauce (Whichever one is your favorite)
4 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
4 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Makes 4 servings (1 rib)
Stove Top Directions:
In a dutch oven or stock pot brown ribs on both sides on high heat. Add parsley, onion, whiskey, juice, and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine ingredients. Bring to a simmer then cook on low heat for 3-4 hours.
Crock pot Directions:
In pan brown ribs on both sides on high heat. In a crock pot, add parsley, onion, whiskey, juice, and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine ingredients. Add ribs. Cook on low heat for 6 hours.
You can make these ribs in the crock pot which makes them a perfect week night meal.
