2010 cookies |
One of the benefits of baking Christmas cookies is that after the flour and sugar baking fest concludes I have zero desire to eat sweet treats. Having a distaste for holiday baked good is a little Christmas miracle because holiday baked goods are heavenly. Why not also try these mailed Christmas cookies here!
The past couple years I have been a slacker and not done one bit of holiday baking. And I have attributed my holiday weight gains to cakes, cookies and sweet treats brought in by my coworkers that normally I would pass on.
However, the crowds are growing restless and requests for cookies have flooded my inbox this year. Sooo…. I’ve decided to bake a “few” select kinds. I’m making all my favorites….the ones that are not a pain in the ass to make.
My mom will be sad that her second favorite cookie didn’t make the cut. But I’m only making FOUR kinds.
Butter cookies
Pffernus
Pecan fingers
Oatmeal drop cookies with cranberries
I’m hoping that my baking love fest will not only tame the crowds but also have a positive effect on my waistline this year
